Orientation Week I am so happy to be back home and I miss this PC so much. Anyway, anyone willing to donate a laptop to me so that I could update my blog constantly? Anyway, I am going back in history to blog the so-called most 'important' and 'memorable' event in my life just for the sake of keeping it in history. Warning. This is going to be something boring though. 1-6 March 2004 was my orientation week. It was really a dumb event and I still feel that it's baseless to have that. The first day of orientation kicked off with several briefings including PBL induction. Is PBL an effective tool of learning? I have still yet to learn about that but it has to depend on your 'luck' to not get stuck in an unproductive group. After three sessions of PBL, I am still feeling awkward to be part of the group. Yes, a perfect moment to have the 'you-look-at-me-i-look-at-you' session. In the afternoon, it was really bad. Eggs, flour, yoghurt, blah blah blah. Not forgetting the rojak sauce as well. It was really bad when one senior asked me to stand aside and threw water balloon and eggs at me. After that, he overturn a bag containing flour on my head! *sobs**sobs*. There was a signature hunt throughout the whole week and it was supposed to be the 'get-to-know-your-seniors-session.' In order to get the senior's signatures, you have loads of stupid things to do. One female demanded for a particular guy's shirt before she agreed to sign. Oh boy. What a sight! *vomit*. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On the third day, I've already had my fair share and the 'it's-one-in-a-life-time' thought became too baseless. I was very fortunate to meet a Semester 7 student who shared the same sentiments as me before I left for the Treasure Hunt event. When I told her about my baseless thought, she replied, 'Ha-ha. you get cardiac arrest once in a life time too.' She told me boldly that I could skip the event if I wanted to and I did it. She event sent me back to my hostel to prevent getting caught by the committee. *yawn* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 4th March 2004, the fourth day of orientation was my birthday. Yeepeeee. When I woke up in the morning, there were loads of sms-es waiting to be read. Two of them were from my orientation group leader. Ha-ha-ha. I took it in a very offensive manner and too bad. I couldn't be bothered as it was a good day not to be unhappy over trivial matters. I skipped the whole day's orientation except for my second PBL session which was made compulsory. I felt like a fugitive because I had to use the back stairs and things like that just to avoid being confronted and yada yada. Sigh! After collecting my 3rd pair of spectacles (in a period of 4 months), I bought the Malay Mail and guess what it says in its born today column... You are an energetic and creative individual but you often need more guidance than you think you do to fulfil your true potential. When left entirely to your own devices, you can be a little too wild and uncontrolled for your own good; when under someone else's careful guidance you are able to control yourself and channel your energies much more profitably. In personal affairs, you are far more likely to prove a model of achievement and self-contentment as you may be able to forge for yourself a kind of dream-life, which is the envy of those around you. Still you must always take care that your volatile temper doesnt get in your way. Career-wise, you will make your mark early on in life and find success easily. I don't know to what extend this is true to others but I think the wild and volatile temper part is so god damn true man!! Anyway, after a long long week, I was looking forward to Friday because I was so desperate to make myself happy during the weekends. There was a session called the PBL Feedback Session and I was representing my group to give our feedback. Well, when I started to speak, people were laughing at me. I didn't know why but it was certainly embarrassing. 'Rupa-rupanya, I went too fast. Arghhhh. Public speaking sucks man!!! ;(((( ![]() YEeeeepeeeee yeeepeeee. In the evening, I went out shopping in Pyramid with my gegula friend and I bought 4 pairs of kasut. After dinner, I slipped down the stairs when I was bad-mouthing someone. ARGH !@)*#!@&)#!!!! So moral of the story.. never talk bad bout people lor!! n-g || 7:51 pm || ||
