'Lap Sap'

What is 'lap sap' ? It simply means rubbish in Cantonese. A perfect example of 'lap sap' is what you are reading right now.

Since I will be kicked out from home really soon, it's high-time that I should do some cleaning. Not to the house but my brother's computer. My brother was very 'kind' to me back then. I was allocated a folder (Angie) free of charge despite of its growing size. The picture you see below is the summary of my 'lap sap' folder. I never did know how I managed to store so much 'lap sap' in 2.3 years. Although the size may be small to some of you, 827MB of 'lap sap' in 195 folders is certainly an issue with me. This is really bad. [P/s: No Mp3s in here and fat hopes for those of you who are thinking of inheriting some porn from me.] :)

Before writing this, I actually did attempt to browse through some of the folders and the amount of 'lap sap' I saw never did fail to amaze me. Frankly speaking, I don't know what I am to do with it. Perhaps after rearranging some of the files into respected folders, I should burn everything into two copies of CD-Rs. (Yes, I am going to store one in the Safe Deposit Box in the bank in case some robbers are having some glimmers of hope of finding a secret edition of 'Kehidupan Seorang Pelajar Yang Terlampau.') Was just joking about that but those 'lap sap' are my only priceless (read: WORTHLESS) 'harta' that I managed to collect throughout this years.

With regards to 'lap sap' , I used to store alot of junk at the back of my car until my mother accused me of trying to pick up my aunt's bad habits. You see, my aunt is a mini stockist. Like any other housewives, she buys tonnes of household items which is enough to last her a year if the hypermarts get burnt down or something like that. Better still if there are discounts and more discounts. The amount of stuff she stores in her cupboard is simply amazing. (boxes of tissue papers, bottles of shampoo, detergents, blah blah blah blah blah and God knows what else.) Yes this might sound exaggerating but I was not spared from being shocked when I saw it with my eyes. Due to space constraint, (air property), she has no other alternatives but to store some of the items at the back of her car. YES. At one time, her car was sent for servicing and the foreman asked her whether was she running a restaurant or something like that. Ah.....grrrr... It's undeniable that the car boot is an amazing place for many car owners. I won't be surprised if one of it ever gets into the 8th Wonder of the World. So in case you are looking for an extra storage space, think of your car ;)

Cheers.
