Egostic Humans

I waste alot of precious time talking gibberish in Non Motor Talk forum. (part of Autoworld's free service) During my participation, I met many inconsiderate people who are untactful with their words. Being forgiving, I never keep any of those thoughts personally. After some time, I will forget it. However, humans are still humans afterall. Once the ego and pride takes over, you can forget about being humble. No, this is not what I want to blog today. What I am questioning is, "What kind of moral values
people hold?"
(well especially adults). If you did see the Chinese movie, "The Truth About Sam and Jane," Sam once commented the different between school and the working world. In school, Sam was taught to be respectful and blah blah blah (the same thing you learn in moral studies) but when he started working for a gossip magazine, all these moral values don't come near to the importance and vitality of company profits.

Going on to 19 next month, I am feeling really disgusted with what I observe everyday. How influential can education be in moulding a person's personality and characteristics for good? Human behaviour is disgusting. How did environmental factors take over the once innocent children of God? Back to what happened in AW. A forummer, brackula said in the Latest News Forum:

"...people who dun have the 'ACTUAL' capability of buying a car SHOULDN'T be owning a car. People who cn only afford to come out with a few hundred bucks as downpayment should NOT be owning any cars. This has resulted in bad traffic jams. thanks to perodua. if u read the star classifieds, u still can see perodua salespeople advertising for few hundred ringgit downpayment. i think got 200 D/P also."

Personally, I find that opinion is discriminating. If the offer is true, whoever who takes it still signs the same financial papers. If anyone does not pay monthly inst., the car will be towed away just like anyone else, isn't it? Why are we segregating the rich and poor? Why do the financially incapable people has to sacrifice because of traffic jams? Why do the poor rakyat has to be blamed? As for traffic jams, why no one blames the improper planning and lack of co-operation from town planners, car manufactures, road builders and maybe the ministry of trans. as well? Let's face the fact. How much can we trust our public transport nowadays? I don't trust public buses nowadays due to the fact that a woman has being brutally raped and murdered few years back. I am not taking any chances. Taxis? How many times have you read in the newspapers that women/young girls have been chauffered into places they don't know and get molested. YES. TO MALE CHAUVINISTIC PIGS OUT THERE, stop blaming the women. And stop hitting on what they wear. RESPECT. If your parents forgot to teach you the word RESPECT, it's not too late to learn it now. I was fortunate to be able to conduct a research study last year with the thesis title, Oppression of the Female Gender: Where's the Justice? (I will write about this some time in future when I have time)

Okay, back to the issue on what that forummer said.

So Insider, another forummer gave his fair opinion on that issue and got !@#&(!#!# from him.

"...I prefer to see those people with "a few hundred ringgit" with a car for their family rather that seeeing them on a kapchai with 2 adults and 3 kids... Honestly speaking, everytime I see those people with kids on the bikes, especially on hot/rainy days, I feel sorry for them... and I keep reminding myself how lucky I am to own a bemeer today because I come from a poor family... I didn`t have a chopper bike when I was a kid... and I go to school on Fung Keong shoes.... with a 10 cents pocket money and a "cold" nasi lemak for lunch from home....thank god for giving me the "brains" to be what I am today and a grateful person... "

And you wouldn't want to know what happened next.
Brackula started labelling anything related to Insider stupid stupid stupid.

Why can't people keep open minds and receive criticisms constructively rather than being so defensive. I don't think we need all the name callings do we? Why do people have to get so personal? Come on. It's just a forum. But people don't hide behind the screens. More often than not, their personalities and opinions reflect what they really are. Sigh. I gave my fair share of opinion and I got bombarded with words for no apparent reason. Moreover I was being accused for being revengeful. WHY WHY WHY? I don't know. Remind me not to meet people like this. Horrible.
